Assignment: Using the theories and concepts learned in the classroom we were challenged to design a professional development session.
Reflection: Before starting this degree program, I had led many PD sessions on Google Apps for Education for my faculty and staff. The sessions were not designed well and many participants did not benefit from the session. After this course, I learned how to design a better training experience using the ADDIE model. Following this model, I evaluated my audience better, designed my agenda more efficiently, developed a plan for presenting the concepts, which allowed me to better implement the information. After the training session, I evaluated my presentation, looking for ways to improve the session for next time.
