Reflection: In the educational world, many really good educators are slow to adopt new ideas and initiatives. This assignment has been duplicated many times since I had two cellphones talking as seen in the video above. Anytime the topic of mastery or grades are brought up, I have taken the time to practice this elevator speech. Next year we are piloting standards based grading in our 7th grade geography classes and I will be introducing the teachers to my MIA tool.
